The Asylum Inn was founded in 2003 by the Goodrich family. This 3 story brick building was built in 1901 and was one of the most prestigious homes being built. It was once a private hospital in the 1930's and has been fully restored but leaving rustic charm and character behind. The Inn has 3 beautiful flats and will accomodate 18-20 of your guests.
The Asylum Inn sleeps 18-20 guests and consists of 3 flats with 6 bedrooms & 4 1/2 bathes. Check-in on Fridays or Mondays. We are located 4 lovely blocks from Lake Michigan and 1 block from the riverfront and downtown South Haven. The Asylum Inn is great for the entire family and is walking distance to most of the attractions in South Haven. Our place is one of kind and decorated with Iron bedss and comfy furniture. Each flat has fully equipt Kitchens and livingrooms. Lock & Key for each flat is available or it can be opened up to a mansion.

The Asylum Inn is centrally located to downtown South Haven. This 3 Story brick building stands tall & strong. She IS a beauty. We did a restoration on her between 2001-2003. it was originally Built in 1901 for a German Immigrant family, the Jacobs where lILIIAN WAS THE LADY OF THE HOUSE. some 30 year's later, the Penoyer's bought the building. a FATHER & SON started a Private Hospital: the Memorial Hospital. tHEY WERE both BONE SPECIALISTs. for the last 30 years it was Apartments. tHERE WERE seven at one time...IF ONLY THE WALLS COULD TALK. One of many yellow brick homes built in South Haven STILL STAND AFTER 100 YEARS. sOUTH hAVEN originally BECAME A TOWN IN the 1800'S. tHIS BUILDING BECAME PART OF THE GROWING INDUSTRY HERE. WE aRE PROUD BE THE OWNERS TODAY.
